27 FebVital advice services protected by Conservatives

We recognise the importance of high quality, independent advice, particularly on health, social care, and financial issues.
That is why we have increased support for two excellent advice services in the Vale. Abingdon Citizen’s Advice Bureau and Wantage Independent Advice Centre are set for a financial boost from the Vale of White Horse District Council.

Grants to the organisations have been increased by over 16% this year, in recognition that more people are reliant on their services during these difficult economic times.

We have also restored the link to inflation, so whereas the previous Lib Dem Council froze their funding, under the Conservatives they will see it rise year on year.
