Tom Tugendhat stands up for what he believes. He has resisted Russian money-laundering through London, and as a founder of the China Research Group (2020) has called for a ban on cotton grown by slave labour in Xinjiang. Tom and 4 other MPs were banned by China from travel to China, Hong Kong and Macau.
He served in Iraq and Afghanistan and helped set up the National Security Council of Afghanistan and the government in Helmand Province. He described the Fall of Kabul in August 2021 as the 'biggest foreign policy disaster since Suez'.
As Minister for Security, Tom is responsible for counter-terrorism, cybercrime, fraud, hostile state activity and many aspects of aviation, maritime and borders security.
Join us for a light buffet and chat, to hear Tom speak about his work and to ask him questions on the the many issues facing Britain and the world today. The venue location will be sent to ticket holders closer to the time
