Wantage & Didcot Conservative Association have selected District Councillor Ben Mabbett as their candidate for the by-election in Grove & Wantage Division after Cllr Zoe Patrick announced her intention to resign in the council chamber on Tuesday 11th September.
Cllr Patrick submitted her resignation this morning. (Thursday 27th September 2018).
After his selection Ben said “I’m very excited to be selected as the local candidate for the Grove and Wantage Division. Having grown up, and been a local councillor for many years, I know the issues that are affecting our area. Issues like Infrastructure, Transport, Housing, Health & Social Care and Schools. I look forward to getting out there and talking to people about how we can make our area an even better place to live”.
County Council Leader Ian Hudspeth said, “Ben will be a great County Councillor representing Grove & Wantage giving you a strong voice in County Hall, I look forward to working with him.”
