Candidates across the County have been joined by members as they look to meet residents in their divisions, talking to them about the issues that are concerned about and how we as a party can help. They are hearing that it really is the local problems, the problems that a County Council should be dealing with and are elected to deal with, that they feel aren't being addressed by the current LibDem/Green council. The biggest issue without a doubt is the state of the roads, which is why we have kicked off the Pothole Emergency Campaign (take a look at the Campaigns & Survey page to sign the petition) and why in the recent alternative budget, our Conservative councillors proposed an additional £6m to address the issue. A proposal that was unfortunately for residents rejected by the LibDems, but we will continue to fight to address this concern. And we will keep heading out meeting with and listening to residents in the coming weeks - and after the election, if our candidates have the privilege of serving as councillors.
If you see them out and about, stop them to say hello and tell them your concerns
